Paul Rand (born Peretz Rosenbaum) - famed graphic designer from the United States, known as the man who developed the logos of IBM, the TV channel ABC, a delivery service UPS, School of English First, etc. He was one of the founders of the Swiss style of graphic design.
Rand studied at Pratt Institute from 1929 to 1932, at Parsons The New School for Design from 1932 to 33, and the Art Students League from 1933 to 1934. From 1956 to 1969 and again since 1974, Rand taught design at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut. In 1972 Rand was admitted to the New York Art Directors Club Hall of Fame.
